Archery and Gun Ranges


RANGE CLOSED August 20 and November 12, 2017- 9AM-4PM for BLOCK SHOOT

RULE CHANGE: ALL MEMBERS USING THE RANGES MUST DISPLAY THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD IN PLAIN SIGHT. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THE RANGE. NO WARNINGS WILL BE GIVEN. (EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2013)

    Tri-Boro has 3 archery bails to mount targets.  Two of the bails are located 30 yards down range, and one is located 15 yards down range.  There is a tree stand that can  be used for target practice.  We ask that you please remove any targets that you use while you are using the range.



     Tri-Boro is home to a rifle range, pistol range, and plinking range.  The rifle range has backstops at 100 yards and 50 yards.  The Pistol range can be used at up to 50 yards, and the plinking range can be used up to 25 yards.  The plinking range has metal targets so there is no need to bring objects to shoot at.  If you do bring targets, please remove them and put them in the trash receptacles.



 

Tri-Boro Sportsmen Range Rules
Range Hours: Mon-Sat 8AM-Sunset, Sun. 9AM-Sunset 1. Failure to abide by these rules will result in ejection from the range and/or suspension of membership privileges,
and/or legal prosecution.
2. All federal, state, and local firearm laws must be obeyed.
3. Only members of Tri-Boro Sportsmen are permitted to shoot. Membership card must be displayed.
4. Firearms will be pointed down range at all times including during loading and sight adjustments.
5. When checking targets or moving ranges, your firearm must be unloaded and cased or have the action open.
6. All firearms must remain cased until the shooter reaches the shooting benches.
7. Only paper, tag board, hardboard, or cardboard targets may be used. Absolutely no other targets are permitted
especially exploding targets.
8. No one will shoot while there is a person down range or walk down range while a shooter is shooting in their section.
9. After shooting, remove all trash, targets, and brass and place them in the proper receptacles.
10. When you are finished shooting, you must unload and case your firearm before leaving the shooting benches.
11. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
12. Wear eye and ear protection.
13. Never use alcohol or drugs before or while shooting.
14. No automatic weapons.
17. You must be 21 years old to shoot handguns and 18 years old to shoot long guns unless accompanied by a parent or
legal guardian of which the age is 12 to shoot either.
18. . Know your target and what is beyond.
19. Any shots fired that strike any surface other than the target will result in ejection and/or suspension from the range.
20. Tracer, incendiary, armor piercing, and steel core ammunition are strictly prohibited.
1. No personal targets are to be used on the plinking range.
2. Rimfire ammunition only.
3. The moving or removal of any targets is forbidden.
